I read an article here that included this statement: “AI models built on ambiguous data create risk faster than they create value.” Or… to quote simply, a close friend of mine, “data out is only as good as data in.”

But successful transformation requires more than technology.
It requires one shared, contextualized version of operational truth across engineering, operations, integrity, and maintenance.
When data conflicts, interpretations conflict.
And when interpretations conflict, alignment starts to erode.
Meetings become stressful…longer.
Approvals become slower.
Teams become defensive.
And eventually, trust in the operational picture itself begins to break down.
The organizations making progress aren’t trying to fix everything at once.
They focus on mature, operational use cases that improve reliability, response time, and consistency across the business. They know disconnected operational reality isn’t just inefficient anymore.
It’s operational risk.
And perhaps this integrity shift asks a much larger question:
