WHAT WE'RE WATCHING
Broad sources. Narrow relevance.
Selected public source families informing the Lab's industrial AI research.
Examined through evidence.
The Oil & Gas AI Lab was created by SOUBEL to study how artificial intelligence is moving into oil and gas operations, separate credible developments from hype, and build a clearer view of where the technology is proving useful, where the evidence is still developing, and where important risks or unanswered questions remain.
The Lab combines ongoing research with tools such as SOUBETRIQ™, SOUBEL's regulatory and standards intelligence instrument, which tracks meaningful developments for review. That work helps build a stronger evidence base for SOUBEL analysis, future tools, and practical understanding of how AI may affect real-world operational decisions.

ON THE RESEARCH DESK
SIGNALS WE'RE WATCHING
Tracking reported fleet-scale deployment while preserving the distinction between deployment claims and independently validated performance.
Watching the evidence boundary between AI recommendations, automated decisions, and demonstrated long-duration operating reliability.
AI CAPITAL CONDITIONS
AI investment continues to expand. The Lab is watching where capital is flowing, how that growth is being financed, and whether the power and data-center infrastructure needed to support it is keeping pace.
LAB INSTRUMENT 01
Regulatory & Standards Intelligence by SOUBEL. SOUBETRIQ™ checks selected regulatory and standards websites on a set schedule. Each visit captures the source as it appeared at that moment, creates a digital fingerprint of the content, and verifies expected information. Later visits are compared with the earlier record to identify possible changes for human review. The result is a preserved evidence trail that helps SOUBEL understand where a change could affect its research, knowledge, or tools before anything is updated or published.
Public instrument profile · in developmentResearch note: Independent SOUBEL research. Primary sources are preferred. Selected public views do not expose internal research queues, private evidence stores, review mechanics, or unpublished working material.
